PetArmor Plus provides the same active ingredient combination — fipronil and (S)-methoprene — as leading prescription-priced alternatives at a price point that makes consistent monthly prevention economically accessible to a broader population of dog owners. Fipronil works by disrupting the nervous system of fleas, ticks, and chewing lice that contact treated skin, with onset of action beginning within 24 hours of application and full efficacy established within 48 hours. The (S)-methoprene insect growth regulator component prevents flea eggs and larvae from developing into adult fleas, breaking the flea life cycle at the developmental stage rather than only killing existing adults — an approach that addresses the 95% of the flea population that exists as eggs, larvae, and pupae in the environment rather than on the pet. PetArmor Plus is applied directly to the skin between the shoulder blades using the single-use pipette, with the product spreading across the body’s skin surface through the natural oils of the skin and coat.
